Leadership Consultant and Strategic Advisor

Richard (Dick) Smith is currently a leadership consultant and strategic advisor to executives and senior leaders who are involved with Strategy Deployment, Process Transformation, Business Process Management, Six Sigma and other significant organizational change initiatives.  Mr. Smith has over 20 years of strategy, change management and process improvement consulting experience. Combined with over 15 years of corporate experience in sales and marketing, operations and quality management, Mr. Smith brings a wide-range of expertise to his consulting clients. Most recently, Dick served as a Leadership Consultant for the Catholic Leadership Institute for eight years.

Dick is a former Partner at PwC in the Strategic Change Practice, and the former Partner-in-Charge of the Center of Excellence for Business Process Transformation. His clients include Dow Chemical, DuPont, Bank of America, AIG Insurance, GE Capital, Air Products and Chemicals and Johnson & Johnson.

Dick has been a frequent speaker on the topics of Organizational Change, Process Transformation and Six Sigma deployment at conferences sponsored by leading organizations such as The Conference Board. He is co-author of the book, “Strategic Six Sigma: Best Practices from the Executive Suite” (Wiley, 2002), which features best practices of companies that have successfully deployed Six Sigma as a transformation initiative. He currently is an instructor and consultant for Rutgers University, Center for Management Development. Dick and his wife Nancy enjoy spending their time at the beach with their six grandchildren.
